Getting Started

Form-Data platform purpose is to handle form submissions workflow. Since we believe that as a site-builder you should focus on the site itself, and we should stay out of your way, Form-Data is not intended to build the form's html itself. You are free to use the frameworks, design systems, and tools that you are used to. Only point your forms' actions to us.

Your first step is to go to My Forms menu under the user menu, and create your form.

Make sure you fill all required fields and save.

Once you have your form created, copy the URL from the Form action URL box, and paste it into your HTML to the action property of the form, as shown below.

<form action="https://www.form-data.com/_functions/submit/ts0spaan34y5racazgub" method="post">
  <p>
    <label for="firstname">First name</label>
    <input type="text" name="firstname" id="firstname"/>
  </p>
  <p>
    <label for="firstname">Email</label>
    <input type="text" name="email" id="email"/>
  </p>
  <button type="submit">Submit</button>
</form>
Important:  Use the Form action URL of your own form, and not the one shown in this example. The one here is an actual for that is used for demo purposes.

Couple of things to note here:

  1. The URL uses secure protocol (https). Don't change this since it is important in order to ensure your customers' data security

  2. The form method is post. This is HTML's default method so you can omit it, but don't specify other methods.
